President’s Task Force on 21st Century Policing Report Mesa Police Department members will be discussing the six pillars to policing as presented in the recently released President’s Task Force on 21st Century Policing Report and how the police department is implementing the concepts within the Mesa community.   Dobson Lecture Hall
Diversity Designed for City of Mesa employees, but open to all attendees.  This session is presented by Armando Espinoza, The Global Workforce Inclusion Manager at Boeing, and will focus on diversity in the interview process.  Mesa Contemporary Arts Meeting Room

Health Join the Mesa Fire and Medical Department to learn more about their internal operations and their community involvement.  Did you know that MFMD’s primary response is medical?  You will learn about automatic aid, community care units and the many free resources offered to the community through their Fire and Life Safety Education programs.   Drama Studio Room
Flu Shots Free flu shots will be available to anyone ages 6 months and older (regardless of insurance) and administered by Mesa Fire and Medical staff.

Phil Austin, Chair of the East Valley Hispanic Chamber of Commerce,  will present on East Valley  marketing and economic trends affecting Hispanic  and small  businesses and discuss programs which encourage small business success.

    The individual nominated will have demonstrated several (Not necessarily all) of the following examples of exceptional leadership:

    • Motivates, inspires and creates a compelling vision for the future and helps others understand their role in achieving it
    • Sets a high standard of integrity by leading through example and maintains high personal standards
    • Made a significant impact on others by inspiring, challenging, and providing support
    • Achieve outstanding success through perseverance, innovation, and hard work
    • Demonstrates a positive attitude, uses strong judgment, treats everyone with respect, and utilizes good communication skills
    • Demonstrates knowledge and a passion for the Latino community
    • Generates a desire for continuous and lifelong learning
